Emanuel Haas
About me
Hi there and welcome to my Homepage. I would describe myself as a designer for digital experiences. Therein I am focused on media design in space, motion design and interactive media. It's my intent to augment the reality how we perceive it with virtual information, to explore useful ways of interactions with media in exhibitions and to combine art, science and technology by design. Browse my portoflio and discover the creative side of my being. Enough said for now, start scrolling.
Outside the Box
Besides media and technology I am very interested in photography, film making, art, culture and museums. I love to travel around the world as well as riding on fresh snow powder or balance on a long line between two trees.

Interactive Media

  • Luftikus 3D Game

Luftikus is a unique 3D game installation which enables the player to blow digital soap bubbles into an imaginary world. It takes skill and curiosity to create a soap bubble and send it on the desired path into the 3D world. However, when the bubble hits specific objects, hidden stories are revealed and the player can discover the mysteries of the wondrous island. A 3D tracking system and a wind-sensor enable a intuitive gameplay and help to create a novel and fanciful experience, complemented by stunning 3D graphics and sound effects.

  • Grazer Guggloch

Due to our main idea of visualizing data and information that usually are invisible, we created an interactive installation called “Grazer Guggloch“. The media scope makes it possible to see an extended reality. Using a special technique, digital information is projected onto the view of the real surrounding. We show the electric consumption of the buildings of Graz and compare these data with the potential of generating solar energy.

Bricks, gold and a lot of military presence

Before the creative work of the master thesis starts, our course of studies went on an excursion to Moscow by train. Our stops were Lviv (Lemberg) and Kiev in the Ukraine and finally the capital of russia.
There we went to several museums, exhibitions, churches, and companies like DigitalOctober, Mosfilms, British Higher School of Arts and Design and the most technological impressive jewish museum i’ve ever seen.
On Tumblr you can see some impressions of the shaky, freezy, delicate, colorfull, spectacular, pompous, excessive, artistic, sporting and comical trip.

Inspirations – Innovations – Intentions

In this Blog it’s my aim to highlight design inspirations, discuss technological innovations and point out intentions of my upcoming works and studies.
